Green Day was Right

In my opinion, a large percentage of Americans voters are dumb. In a recent interview aired on World News Tonight, a woman was touting her support for McCain and Palin and how she loves Palin. She was then asked "Do you know what she stands for?" The woman replied, "No." It's this kind of blind following that is really troubling to me. Is America going to once again vote Republican because Americans were too stupid to understand who stands for what? It is the duty of American citizens to be at least somewhat informed about the issues so that when they cast their votes they will truly mean something.

I'm not saying that I know all the issues...I certainly do not. But at least I'm not out there shouting "OBAMA! OBAMA!" without knowing what "OBAMA!" really means. I "Don't want to be an American Idiot."

Sarah Palin

Is Sarah Palin a good choice for VP? I say "NO!" Picking her was purely a political stunt to gain support of all the emotional and ignorant people in America. What if McCain dies and she becomes the President? She doesn't have the leadership skills, the values, the experience needed to run the country. The only reason Republicans love her is because she's like the "woman next door" and that she has a pretty face and decent personality. That's one of the main reasons Bush was elected...people saw him as a regular Joe and decided to go with him. Look what happened...America has gone the wrong direction for 8 years.

P90x

Anyone heard of the BeachBody product P90x? I saw that ads on TV a year ago. It's a home fitness set of 12 DVDs. I thought to myself "That looks interesting." A year later, I see the ads again and I decide to do a little research and see what people think about it. Sure enough, I saw a lot of good reviews. I decided to buy it and I've started working out to it and I've gotta say that so far it's awesome. I'm only one week into it, so I've got a good 11 weeks left, but I'm pretty psyched about it because in just the first week I think I can say that I've had the best workouts I've ever had in my life. These workouts really push you hard and you get both strength training and cardio training by doing them. So far, it's great. Will let you know how things progress.

Hi, my name is Hillary Clinton...The Italian Stallion???

I'm not sure what to make of this comment that Hillary Clinton made, liking herself to the one and only Rocky Balboa. I guess partly it's kind of cool that she referenced the greatest underdog of our time, but at the same time, it irritates me that SHE said it. I don't know why...I guess I just don't like her. Go Obama!

Happy Anniversary to Me

Well, today marked 5 years since I've started working. And what have I gotten for all my hard labor? I'm out of shape, I'm losing my hair, I've lost my eyesight, I'm underpaid, and my back always hurts...Working BLLLOOOWWSSS!!!

Family Guy

What a great show. I love it...it's so random and ridiculous that it makes me laugh out loud. I love how they reference movies that I grew up watching...today they referenced the fight scene in Return of the Jedi where Luke fights that giant monster and kills it by shutting the spiky gate down on its ugly head.

I Can See!

Well, 5 years of working in front of a damn computer has killed my eyes enough to a point where I've had to get glasses. I just got them today...but I must say I'm really glad. I can actually see stuff! All this detail that I forgot existed is once again visible!

Thank God for science and optomologists...

What are you thankful for?

Rambo

So, I should've posted this up months ago, but I've been in a huge lazy spell.

Obviously, I saw Rambo in the theaters and I loved it. This movie was pure action through and through. I really liked it because I think too many action films these days rely on flashy special effects and complicated story lines to drive them...but sometimes I just want to see something very simple...something where I don't have to think much. That's what this movie brought me and I loved it. And at the same time, I learned something about Burma...it's a F**ked up place and I'm soooo glad we have basic human rights.

I think Sly and his crew did a great job with this film because it delivered where it was supposed to deliver. The action was incredible, the sound effects were insane, the story was believable, and I didn't yawn once while watching it.

MacBook Pro and the Craigslist Scam

Sounds like a Harry Potter book.

I've been interested in purchasing a MacBook Pro recently. I went on craigslist and I found some REALLY good deals. Flag # 1. I sent an email to one dude, located in Washington DC. I asked a few basic questions like What's included, why are you selling it, etc. I got an email back from the guy but he didn't answer my questions and he said he's located in Manchester UK now. But I continued to stay interested...I sent another email asking him the same questions from before and asking him what is his idea to take care of the transaction since he's overseas. He responded but again didn't answer all of my questions. He suggested that we use this service called TNT to facilitate the transaction. I checked it out and it seemed legitimate but kind of complicated...so I poked around a bit and typed a google search of "TNT craigslist" and found that there are all kinds of scams associated with this thing...specifically with MacBook Pros.

BEWARE all you craigslist shoppers...don't get scammed! Be smart!

It has been a While

It has been a while. I've been in hibernation. I'm going to make an attempt at getting back into the blogging thing. I figured I should change my blogspot URL while I'm at it...maybe give me a little motivization...
